It is a busy market town with a good mix of traditional and modern shops, excellent leisure facilities and nightlife. Development plans for the town and its environs will bring other big-name stores and leisure attractions into the area.” The town has many local tourist attractions and a great railway system with trains that go directly to London and other major areas. City of Lampeter Lampeter is the smallest university town in southwest Wales, with a population of just under 3,000 people.
