City of Paris

Known worldwide as both the largest city and the capital of France, Paris is a cultural hotspot and has been named one of the top three most important cities in the world. With a rich history dating back to 4200 BC, Paris is home to world-famous architecture, art, cafes, monuments, gardens, and more. Known as the number one tourist destination in the world, there is never a shortage of interesting things to do in Paris. Public transportation is offered throughout the city, and Dauphine Université suggests that about 60€ monthly will be a sufficient transportation budget.

Program in Brief

Dauphine Université is focused particularly on science. The majority of classes are taught in French, although Dauphine Université is constantly expanding its English course selection to accommodate a growing number of international students. The institution offers intensive French language courses at the beginning of each semester (three weeks for the fall semester and one week for the spring semester).

Academic Program and Areas of Study

Université Paris-Dauphine offers courses in a wide range of disciplines: management, economics, management information system, applied mathematics, law, humanities, and social science. A sample of some of the courses taught in English can be found here.

Orientation

There is a mandatory set of pre-departure orientations at PC for all students planning to participate in the program.

Housing and Meals

A limited number of rooms in student residences are available, so students should apply early in order to ensure they get a space. Students are also welcome to choose to live in non-University housing in Paris. Student residence accommodations are approximately 250-500€ per month, whereas private housing is approximately 500-1000€ per month.

Meals are available at the students’ restaurants on campus and are around 2€90 per meal.
