What is Included: Students live in apartment style housing throughout the city of Ghent. The rental period lasts for 4-5 months depending on location and room size. The cost includes fire insurance, water, electricity, heating and internet. Rooms are typically furnished with beds, mattress, mattress cover, pillow, duvet, wardrobe, desk and chair. Each building has a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
What is not Included: A meal plan is not included. Students are required to provide their own food. There is a cafeteria on campus with reasonably priced meals. A student card is provided that can be used throughout the city for discounts at restaurants and other shops and attractions.
Program Description

Artevelde University College Ghent (AU GENT), a member of the Ghent University Association is one of Flanders' largest university colleges with some 65,000 students. AU GENT is a knowledge center for education, research, and services where students, collaborators and strategic partners cooperate and develop their talents in a stimulating and internationally oriented environment. Studying at Artevelde University College Ghent, known for its excellent student-oriented services, education and guidance, will most certainly live up to your expectations, as well as the attractive social, cultural and touristic activities the city of Ghent has to offer. The medieval city of Ghent is the capital and largest city of the East Flanders province. The city sits on the tranquil Leie River. Day and night, Ghent is always quite alive. The city boasts a unique mixture of historical architecture and contemporary events, splendid renowned museums, theaters, opera and film. The city also offers a wealth of exhibitions and other cultural events such as the Gentse Feesten, I Love Techno, Gent Jazz Festival.

Artevelde University College Ghent offers you four international semester programs: Artevelde Business School, Healthcare Studies, Communication Management, Bridges in Education, and as of September 2014, a new degree program taught in English is offered in International Business Management. AU GENT also offers programs in teacher training, business and graphic education, healthcare, and social work. All programs are taught in English. Besides the regular study programs, Artevelde University College Ghent offers a wide variety of international courses, often with a clear emphasis on interdisciplinary.
