Through offering two courses, one on Scottish Literature (Thompson) and the other on Scottish History (Campbell), this Maymester will engage students with an inquiry into Scotland’s rich and storied past. This Maymester will take students to three of Scotland’s most important cities, Edinburgh, Sterling, and St. Andrews, while also giving them the opportunity to explore and experience the Highlands (Ft. William, Glencoe and Oban) and the Inner Hebrides (the Isle of Skye).

Courses: ‘Scotland the Brave: A History of Scottish Nationalism’ and ‘From Heather to Horcruxes: Scotland in Literature and Film’ (6 credits)
