Program Description

The Finnish education system has recently become a widely studied model. This Maymester to Finland will give students the opportunity to study this education system firsthand through spending time in a university teacher education program, visiting the Ministry of Education, conducting classroom observations, and interviewing teachers. Students will gain knowledge about educational policy, teacher education, classroom practices, and the culture of education that creates Finland’s educational success.

Course: ‘Education in Finland’ (6 credits)
